Why Is Butterfly Mode Online?
Because butterfly mode is for people who are social caterpillars right now. And who will turn into social butterflies. By using butterfly mode, preparing them to fly in QuickDate Mode. But yes, as funny as the wordplay is or as clumsy, whichever one you want to go with. That is really what it is. And it is a direct result of my time in East Asia and adapting to the cultures there. So, as I stated in the content of the previous blog, regarding the first, I guess the first blog now, the two previous blogs, the first one, regarding the first message. I did not do my homework, and I didn't follow the first or any of the steps, meaning I didn't do any research about the country or the customs. I did read the profile profile info and photos, and, deduce and infer what I'm sure they thought were nice ideas as well, if they were coming from someone that they had trust with, which is, it works differently there. As it does everywhere. So part of adapting to that was instead of just sending copy paste LA messages, as I said, LA formatted messages. I, you know, I took a pause.
I did some review. You know, data scientists. I reviewed the feedback that was coming in. I applied it to myself, not in a mean way, but in a very much valid critique way, not a, well, it's them, not me. No, no, it was me, 100%, my bad. And through that process. Over hundreds of times and days and months and years. I developed butterfly mode to be more accommodating to that. So where people in the West and in California, in Los Angeles and San Francisco and then, you know, extending to New York and whatever. They like action. And they don't want to talk online. They want to sit down and see if there's chemistry or not and just get it over with and not waste time. In Japan, that's not how it is. And it's not better or worse, right or wrong in either place. It is just different because we have developed differently. We are different people. We are different cultures. We are different customs. So to judge how they, to judge them by the same standards that we would judge our audience, would be a nonstarter in terms of making any progress and connecting with anybody from anywhere else. So instead of that, I did the opposite.
And I took the feedback, and I even sought out the feedback, and I built butterfly mode, which focuses on online and doesn't use your own name or photo. So it is pseudoanonymous. Yeah, it protects your identity. So people feel more comfortable behind screens in the states. I mean, you're going to say trolls, you know, or keyboard warriors, stuff like that. Yes, that's very true, and that is empowered because there's a literal gap between you and the device that you're interfacing with, and then the message that it sends, and then you're not accountable for it, most of the time. So yeah, it emboldens people to be rude, but CHRYSA uses a comprehensive content filter that doesn't let you be that rude. It doesn't censor you from saying you're upset, but it does censor you from saying beep. Insert your own profanity, word, over what the movie rating system would grade PG-13. And that's again a bit of levity there. But no, really, you can speak your mind, but you can speak your mind up to the words you can use to communicate, you know? We want it to be a friendly place. And if there's genuine feedback and critique, like what I received. And then, you know, reviewed and acted upon, that's how you grow and that's great. But we don't want to encourage people hopping on and being trolls and goading people and making any of that. I'm going to stop with citing examples, but we are not Twitter, we are not Blue Sky.
We are, you know, we're trying to match you to people. Trying to connect you to people literally to get you to go out and meet people. And the way you build that trust, the way you build that confidence is not by saying, you smell. Well, I think your ideas are silly and using worse words than that. So, you know, We're butterflies, man. Happy thoughts. It's all about that positive potential and that PMA, that positive state of mind, live by that every day. Thank God. 100%. Thank God. Okay, moving on. Yeah, so butterfly mode includes none, not your real name, not your real photo. What it does what you do is it lets you connect with users over text. So you don't even match, match with them the same way. You just, you see them floating around and they shuffle and, you know, it's determined by a lot of different factors. You know, so they're relevant to you and that they're always updating, so it's not stale. And then you can engage with the community passively or actively on the board. You can jump into the chat rooms, if you feel comfortable doing that. And if you don't feel comfortable doing that, you can message people. And again, to protect people's, you know, sovereignty and privacy. You can send one message to someone. And if they don't reply back, then that was your one message.
So, you know, send it well, make it count. But if they reply back, then, you know, the line of communication is open until it's forcefully, you know, removed, through some of the safety and preventative measures that we offer in the app for reporting and for user safety and comfort and enforcing community guidelines, which you all agree to when you sign up. Yes, you all agree to be happy butterflies and be polite and kind and encouraging and all that good stuff. Not literally, but, you know, that's the goal is to turn caterpillars into butterflies and then when people do feel more like a social butterfly to coin, you know, use a coined phrase, then they go to QuickDate Mode and it streamlines the whole meetup in person process. So it gives people that are already comfortable meeting up a new social media outlet that is not Instagram or YouTube or, you know, Twitter or X or whatever you want to call it now. It lets them see different kinds of content, you know, meet different people from around the world, a smaller pool, and yet a bigger pool at the same time. It's just another opportunity. It doesn't take anything away from them is what I'm saying. So the QuickDate Mode, which is specifically to smooth and expedite and streamline and assist with the real world interactions, that's already something people want here, great.
That's already there for you. You can use it. If you want to use some of the stuff on butterfly mode too, great. And if you don't, that's okay. They're completely independent, yeah, at the same time, perfectly complementary. Like the wings of a butterfly, they are actually different between left and right, but they look like they fit like a perfect puzzle piece. The fun analogy for butterflies that directly applies to what we're talking about. And so the same is true in a reverse way. So for users that are a bit more for lack of a better word, shy or cautious, whatever you want to say. You know, with different trust verification timelines, they can use butterfly mode. And then when they're ready, they can use QuickDate Mode. Again, it doesn't take anything away from them. The QuickDate Mode is there. It just gives you more options. It gives you more potential, not less without interfering in either one. The two work perfectly in concert and also independent of each other. So yeah, that is a very quick overview of what butterfly mode is, why it exists and what its potential is, how it can be used. And I think that answers pretty much everything about it that I want to say. So with that, I'm gonna sign off.
